off the supply of gas to the logs. Defective sensors fail in the safe mode. They will not allow gas to pass to the logs. Ventless gas logs burn less gas than their big brothers. They are only permitted to burn a maximum of 40,000 Btus per hour. However, since your fireplace flue is closed or non existent, all of this energy is released into your house. During a power outage, these appliances can be used as a temporary heat source. All gas logs have the capability of producing huge amounts of water vapor. 1.5 gallons of water is produced for every 100,000 Btus of gas burned. This massive amount of water can condense on cold chimney flue walls and drip into your fireplace. In the case of vent free logs, this water vapor can condense on windows and any other cold surfaces. Should you install these in a newer air-tight home, you may create severe moisture problems in your attic and in exterior wall cavities. Certain states prohibit the sale and or use of venless gas logs: Alaska, Californ

ventless gas logs I enjoy a nice fire myself. Some years back ventless gas logs, before we got our chimney fixed up ventless gas logs, we had a set of electric logs in our fireplace. The electric logs were just a cheap sculpture of logs with a little plastic Ferris-wheel device tattooed to look like fire. The wheel spun around a light bulb and made a repetitive crackling sound. I'd turn the thing on and just laugh and laugh. Eventually ventless gas logs, we got a set of gas logs ventless gas logs, which are a big improvement over the electric logs. The quality of the log sculpture is better ventless gas logs, and there's an actual flame. The flame is fed by natural gas ventless gas logs, so there's no smoke ventless gas logs, no crackling ventless gas logs, and no wood smell. ventless gas logs E these logs really were too. I worry so much about them that I usually don't light them. Please write me back and let me know if logs with only one line of gas are indeed ventless. And how safe are ventless logs. Thank you for any information you could give me ventless gas logs, TeriAnswerIt is true that most ventless or vent free gas logs use two rows of flames ventless gas logs, but that is an aesthetic treatment versus a necessary and safe application. Each design is a little different. If you observe the burner under the logs while the gas is off ventless gas logs, note the pattern of holes on the burner or "pipe." See if the holes have two sections or just one line of holes. Then ventless gas logs, see if the flames are coming through all of the holes when the gas is on. If you have two sections of holes ventless gas logs, yet there is gas only coming through one set or one line ventless gas logs, you may have a blockage or poor gas pressure. Aybe the neighbors. Serious matter. Do not do it. Q: I have a gas log set in a fireplace originally built for wood. The fire goes out. It burns fine for less than one hour. Why does the fire go out? The pilot light also goes out. Should I use a grate to hold the logs? Should I use lava rock (the product sold for grills)? A: If the fire goes out within 10 minutes, then the thermocouple is cooling off too much when the logs are started. The solution is to increase the pilot flame adjustment. If it will not adjust higher, replace the thermocouple. If too small a gas line is installed, it will also cause this and would have to be increased to solve your problem. If the log set burns more then 20 minutes and then goes out, it is from overheating. Is there 3" between the valve and the side of the firebox? Is the shield on the gas valve? The thermocouple could be placed wrong thereby heating the cold junction on the thermocouple. You should use the grate that came with the log set. You s
